WordPress is great. Great for what it’s designed for: quick, adaptable and contributed to by millions of people after growing from a blogging platform into something that can be all things to all men.
The down side of all the above is that, because of its open-source nature - it can become unwieldly and vulnerable if not looked after. Some people out there enjoy attempting to hack WordPress sites - getting in through vulnerable, outdated or simply poorly written plugins.
We host hundreds of sites - and we actually won’t host a WordPress site that is left to languish - and so we came up with our WordPress Management service.
This service is where we pro-actively check your WordPress site for core/plugin updates throughout the year - and let you know each month what’s been updated by way of an email detailing all the work done.
It keeps your site safe up to date and so therefore helps mitigate the risk of it being hacked.

WordPress core, all plugins and themes upgraded each month to the latest version, incorporating the latest speed and security fixes.
Site will be checked to ensure it is operational and you’ll receive an email after each update detailing what’s been updated.
Additional info
You’ll be responsible for checking site functionality.
If your site was up to date (i.e. not in read-only mode) before the hack, will de-hack your site free of charge. If your site was locked down to an insecure version, a quote will be provided as soon as possible.
Additional support is offered with our Bolt-Ons.

Up to one hour per month of fixes (in case of problems introduced by updates) included.
Checks performed: Contact forms checked for any errors but not submitted (lead-gen sites) OR one item is added to cart but not purchased (ecom sites).

You’ll be responsible for checking site functionality over and above the checks we perform above.
If your site was up to date (i.e. not in read-only mode) before the hack, will de-hack your site free of charge. If your site was locked down to an insecure version, a quote will be provided as soon as possible.

Up to two hour per month of fixes (in case of problems introduced by updates) included.
Checks performed: Contact forms checked for errors but not submitted (lead-gen sites). One item is added to cart but not purchased (ecom sites) + language switching tested where applicable.

If you choose not to pay to fix the site, the code causing the issues will be rolled back to the last version.
We will still endeavour to update the core/other plugins/theme each month but your site will be put into ‘read-only’ mode – you will not be able to upload any new images or plugins.
If your site was up to date (i.e. not in read-only mode) before the hack, will de-hack your site free of charge. If your site was locked down to an insecure version, a quote will be provided as soon as possible.

With each update, we will complete two nominated actions (e.g. fill in a form, complete a transaction) and liaise with the client to confirm these were successful.

Vulnerabilities: We will endeavour to upgrade sites sameday of a patched core version, plugins and themes being released, reducing risk of hacking.
