Why Kaweb Team Getaways Matter

We recently had our weekend team getaway, two nights in beautiful Polzeath, Cornwall, and it couldn’t have gone better!

Team socials can sometimes feel rushed. You meet up, have a few drinks, and before you know it, the night’s over, with blurry memories of the night before. This weekend, in particular, though, was something different. It had a wholesome vibe, and we all left feeling recharged.

Mornings were spent either at the gym, spa, or pool, with some of the team taking on coastal runs or hitting the waves for a bit of surfing. There was plenty of time to relax, enjoy some great food and drinks, and hang out without the pressure of work.

Building Relationships Beyond the Office

One of the biggest wins from the weekend was how much we got to know each other outside the work environment. It’s easy to keep things strictly professional during the week, but having time to unwind and just be ourselves gave us the chance to connect on a more personal level.

It wasn’t just about building new friendships either, it also strengthened the bonds that were already there. Spending real time together without the usual work pressures made a big difference in how we see and work with each other back in the office.

Why Make It an Annual Event?

After such a successful first trip, it’s hard to imagine not doing this again. The time away gave us a fresh perspective, both individually and as a team. We returned more connected, refreshed, and ready to tackle whatever’s next.

That’s why we’re already planning to make it a yearly tradition. These getaways are more than just a fun break – they help us create a stronger, more united team. So the only question now is: where should we go next year?
