How to retrieve the Unique Identifier (UDID) of your Apple device

  |   General   |   No comment

The instructions below are designed to help our clients retrieve the UDID of their Apple device so that they can pass it to us so that we can then include it in a provisioning file – which we then send back to them (along with the App) for testing.

  1. Start iTunes and connect your iPhone.
  2. On the Summary page for your iPhone, click on the word “Serial Number:” text.
  3. The serial number should then change to the word “Identifier”, followed by a long string of numbers and digits.
  4. When you press CTRL+C (Windows) or Command/AppleKey + C (Mac) the UDID will be copied to the clipboard and can then be pasted into an Email / IM window / or whatever your preference.
