Website Design

We've been designing and building websites for more than five years now - but more importantly have been in the design field for over twenty.

This experience has resulted in the happy marriage of two things - a sense of what looks good and also how it is to function.

These two things are paramount to the completion of a successful website - whether it be an ecommerce solution, a simple 'brochure' site, or a Flash based environment (what is Flash?).

The latest programming means you're up to date

Advances in technology have brought about the ability to now build sites that are:

  • Slicker - meaning they load faster
  • Leaner - with less 'tag clutter' in the coding it makes for easier indexing by search engines - meaning sites can be searched upon more easily.
  • More accessible - with the advent of different platforms available to view websites (PDAs, mobile phones, TVs etc.) as well as helping to ensure the Disability Discrimination Act is adhered to as much as possible (see Accessibility section).

Kaweb build websites using PHP and CSS which mean all of the above features are catered for.

From initial brief to completion - we're with you all the way

Our approach to designing and building your website is done via a team of people within which our clients are an important part. Right through the development process we think it is key that our clients are always kept in the loop so that nothing gets missed and all our clients needs are catered for.

When we have the brief from a client, we research the business sector, and then go through the following six stages:

  1. Outline project site plan - a graphic (flow diagram style) plan that indicates where various sections/pages sit.
  2. Once the above is sorted we then focus on the type of navigation that would ensure ease of use as well as aid the overall look. Clients generally have a feel for what type of navigation they like - usually from their own online experience. This is discussed and simple prototypes are built if needed.
  3. Then a couple of designs are produced and presented (or sent via email) to the client.
  4. Home page and key section pages are then built to the design chosen within a test (client facing only) environment.
  5. Client tests site.
  6. Website goes live!
