A form of online marketing, search engine optimisation, or SEO, is the process of making a site and its content highly relevant for search engines. This result of good SEO is that your site ranks well in the natural (or organic) search engine results pages.

The benchmark (as far as we are concerned) is Google. It’s the best because it’s the fussiest, and it will normally take your site longer to be crawled by Google than other search engines. So it follows, that if you are getting a good ranking in Google you will also be well ranked in the other (less fussy) search engines.
