About Earlsdon

Earlsdon, a suburb of Coventry, is the birth place of the jet engine pioneer Frank Whittle. To the south is the War Memorial Park, the north is Hearsall Common, and west is Canley Ford. The town has its own theatre, the Criterion Theatre and there is also an annual Earlsdon Festival, that takes place on Hearsall Common during the May bank holiday. During the summer, the annual Godiva Festival, a free weekend long music festival within the War Memorial Park is staged, highlighted on the Saturday with the famous Godiva Procession.
