About Cannock

Cannock, a town in Staffordshire, lies just north of the West Midlands conurbation. It sits to the south of Cannock Chase, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Coal mining was important to the area with many industries coming to the area because of its coal reserves. At one stage there were 53 coal mines in the area. Being situated at the centre of excellent transport links, including the M6 Toll, the first toll motorway in the country, Cannock is attracting national and international companies into the area.
